Poynter Summer Fellows
The Poynter Summer Fellowship for Young Journalists is a cross between a boot camp and a finishing school. We take 16 writers and 16 visual journalists, and for six weeks, we train them in the practices of cutting-edge newsrooms and the traditions of old-fashioned, shoe-leather reporting. We connect them to editors with job openings, and we send them off to newsrooms big and small around the country.
