Beyond Argument
"What a great book. I'm already inspired."

"It's elegant, useful and fun."

"...an excellent book. The articles make the reader think, even if he doesn't agree with everything in them -- which is, after all, the mark of a good editorial."

That's what readers are saying about Beyond Argument.

Mr. Dan Radmacher

BIOGRAPHY

Dan Radmacher, who recently started as an editorial writer and columnist for The Roanoke Times in Virginia, has been a member of NCEW since 1992. He is currently serving as Web editor and vice president of the NCEW Foundation Board of Trustees.

Radmacher completed his Master's Degree in Journalism at the Missouri University Graduate School of Journalism in 1989. For 10 years, he was the editorial page editor of the Charleston Gazette, West Virginia's largest daily newspaper, before becoming an editorial writer for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune in 2003. The 2004 hurricane season and the birth of their son, Nathan, convinced Dan and his wife, Kathleen, of the need to move back closer to family and friends.

Radmacher has won numerous journalism awards, including the 2000 National Education Writers Award for Opinion, and multiple state journalism awards in West Virginia for best editorial and best editorial page.

He served a three-year term on the NCEW Board of Directors. In 2003, he served as chairman of the Ethics Committee.
