American Academy of Religion (AAR) Contest for Best Opinion Writing
The American Academy of Religion (AAR) annually honors best in-depth reporting on topics related to religion (broadly defined) or ethics. Winner of the opinion writing contest receives $1,000. Deadline is end of February. Majority of judges are current or former journalists. The AAR is the world's largest association of academics who research or teach topics related to religion.
