FOI Issues
The Coalition of Journalists for Open Government (CJOG) has a website with useful information on FOI issues including background information, ongoing FOI stuff and some good links. The site is www.cjog.net.
The group is interested in receiving links to any editorials or columns that deal with national or good state FOI issues. If any NCEW member would like to share his/her work on the CJOG website, please send an e-mail to Pete Weitzel at mailtto:pweitzel@rcfp.org. Include the URL and a brief summary of what the op/ed is about.

The National Freedom of Information Coalition ( http://nfoic.org/ ) protects the public's right to oversee its government. Their goals are to:
1. start up and support citizen-driven state FOI and First Amendment organizations.
2. foster the exchange of information through networking and the annual conference.
3. provide a collective voice for state FOI groups at the national level.
4. assist fundraising efforts of state organizations
5. explore critical issues and make recommendations for individual state actions or collective national action, and prepare educational reports or other publications.
