Beyond Argument
"What a great book. I'm already inspired."
"It's elegant, useful and fun."
"...an excellent book. The articles make the reader think, even if he doesn't agree with everything in them -- which is, after all, the mark of a good editorial."
That's what readers are saying about Beyond Argument.

2008 NCEW Convention
Discuss the convention at our online forum here.
Convention Chair Paul Greenberg and his team have put together a program with enough breadth to engage and enough depth to enthrall. The program includes some of the most knowledgeable scholars and provocative thinkers on race relation, immigration and the South. The visit to Central High School, the site of an historic desegregation battle, will provide some historical context for the region's impact on the nation. We will also disucss the influence of Wal-Mart, an Arkansas institution, on economy and culture.
